The 1,000 mile Land's End to John O'Groats Challenge.

100's of hours of training....over 1000 hours of fundraising and planning, pretty much most of my spare time for 3 years. £1,700 of my own money to make it all work...and three weeks annual leave, which I try not to think about. Overcoming negativity and so many obstacles it's unreal! Countless late nights working into the early hours of the morning. I don't have MS...but I want to help people who do, and this is how I'm doing it!

Why? I want to do more than just say "Oh that MS is so terrible"...and then go back to my life. I want to do my bit to try and make a meaningful difference...£8,000 worth of difference, and whilst doing it - get people talking about MS!

I've raised £7,583 so far....I'm going to try my absolute best to hit £8,000 for you guys before I finish a fundraising challenge that will see me burn over 27,000 calories! Having just turned 50...this isn't going to be the easiest thing in the world I've ever done! I'll be using GPS tracking that will track me in 'real time' at street level. Log on details on the web site above. I'll also be doing an evening update each day - if I can still use a mobile phone! Starts 10:30am this Saturday. (UK time)

If you feel you would like to sponsor me that would make you a legend! :-) The easiest way to do this is through the secure 'Just Giving' fundraising web site above as the money goes straight to the MS Society. Your support would be greatly appreciated by me.

To see the total go even higher whilst actually doing the challenge could provide no better motivation to make it to John O’Groats! The prospect of doing around 1,000 miles with no rest days whilst climbing 38,386 feet with everything the British climate will no doubt have in store for me is daunting - but trust me when I say that I will earn every single penny of your sponsorship…with interest!

Thanks for your time. Stay positive! You never know what medical breakthrough might be just around the corner.

Kind regards,
Geoff Sherwin
