Muscles getting smaller is called atrophy.
That's terrific that not only do you feel stronger but you can see the muscle bulk returning

From the research I have done (remember this is My opinion) you lose ALOT of muscle when you have a relapse.

From speaking with other weight lifters they say you need to keep moving that muscle. Even if its numb you need to have someone move that arm or leg for you every day. He said you will be suprised how much muscle you will keep.

With that said once you get better you need to start working out again.

Otherwise you will slowly get weaker and weaker until you are skin and bones.
Or in my case..fat skin and bones lol

If you want to bulk up it takes months to do so. So dont expect to see results in a month. Takes atleast 3 months before you see results. Takes a couple years before your body starts really slowly down on building muscle.
