This book is a delightful read. What started as journal writing developed into a book for Sypawka.

If you live with MS, you will most likely relate to most of her experiences and if you do not have MS, you might understand what we go through on a more personal basis.

The author never belabors a topic and uses a light, honest approach to her experiences. She talks about her Life List of things she wants to do and how even kite flying is doable with some adjustments.

In her chapter, "Things They Don't Tell You About," she translates the clinical symptoms such as walking, fatigue, bladder dysfunction, and so forth, to English by saying:

"You stumble, trip, and fall a lot; you can't stay awake past ; 9:00 p.m.; you make frequent and urgent bathroom visits..."

She has a subtle sense of humor and speaks lovingly of her husband and my favorite example follows. She has just entered an ice cream parlor and tripped and gets back up when her husband jokingly says:

"Why didn't you stay on the floor? After winning the lawsuit, we could have bought that shore house we want."

If you would like some light, non-medical reading that will make you smile, this is a book to fill that need. Hopefully it will encourage you to begin your own journal.
