"The Best is Yet to BE!"

by Jane Chantal, aka chantal

MS was such a surprise to me
And yet, I was able to cope
I am truly blessed, you see
For there is always room for hope.

MS came along with a bang
It was a real challenge at first
But taking it all in stride
I was able to continue to trust.

For cognitive problems
I was tested thoroughly
And had to resign my job
Computer screens now beyond me.

The hardest part was insurance
Because I had covered me, child, and spouse
And now it was gone and so hard
To find the funds for the great loss.

Yet God provided so wonderfully
As He always has in the past
My spouse and I went on disability
My child covered too, at last.

So we continue every day
To place ourselves as His task
For He has said "I'm always here"
We have only to turn and to ask.

This isn't as easy as it sounds, of course.
For trust is sometimes very hard
One must step out in faith daily
And walk on the water with God.

MS has stolen our freedom
And depression will enter in
However we have always known
That God is our very best friend.

With His power and might
We just flow along free
As we know that with our Friend
The Best Is Yet To Be!

We don't give up the struggle
MS won't win this race
For once we leave this earthy home
MS will then have no place.

The joy I hold in this thought
Is what continues to bolster up
My every struggle I release
Into a small spiritual bubble.

The bubbles rising upward
Into the sky so blue
For He is ever watching
To bless both me and you!
