"Fall"

by Robert A. Stevens, aka Smeggems

I wasn't scared
I was quite able
I once excelled
All that is quelled
Completely felled

My soul now prone
All rest is done
My cage repaired
My thoughts prepared
But legs despaired

What can I do?
My courage shot
My prop foursquare
I am upstair
My chair down there

I once could move
Now what to do?
No ambition
Prospect,
Perdition?
New rendition

Nothing remains
More to discover?
Not in my gift
I'm so adrift
Plans to uplift

(This MS thing? -

a callous mugger

SSS....bugger!)
