LORI'S CRAB STEW

Submitted by Lori4030

I created this recipe because I knew I would miss going to a place called Papa's on White Marsh Island (near Savannah) for his Crab Stew.

Ingredients:
------------
1 tablespoon butter
4 tablespoons flour
1 quart half & half (or milk, if you want it less rich)
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon white pepper
1 tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning
1 teaspoon cumin
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
¼ teaspoon Tabasco sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
¼ cup sherry
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
½ lb.crabmeat (canned is okay)

Instructions:
-------------
(1) Melt butter.  Add and blend in flour.
(2) Add half & half (or milk) gradually and stir until smooth.
(3) Add seasonings.
(4) Add  lemon juice, sherry, and crabmeat.  Serve and enjoy!

Serves 4 to 6.
